Love Beyond All Doubt

Love Beyond All Doubt

Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had to translate for another person? Perhaps it was an older family member who was trying desperately to tell a friend or a neighbor a simple thing, but because they couldn’t express it in English, their friend couldn’t understand. What happened next? You spoke two or three simple words in English, and what your family member tried for minutes to describe in vain, you were able to communicate in seconds. You were able to do this because you spoke the language that your family member couldn’t speak. Well, in many ways, because of our limitations, we cannot speak our deepest pains to God. But because God loves us, He gives us the Translator of His Holy Spirit, who not only searches our hearts and knows our deepest thoughts, but is also able to communicate them effortlessly to the Father...

Equipped to Be Good and Serve

Equipped to Be Good and Serve

Have you ever kept a secret talent to yourself because you thought others would think it was stupid? Have you ever been excited to do something, but then became discouraged because someone else could do it much better than you? It’s easy to judge our abilities based on the abilities of other people. In fact, our perception of our abilities in the eyes of other people can be so powerful that we may determine that we are valuable or invaluable solely by whether or not we are as good as someone else. The sad part is that people don’t just do this with their passions or abilities, but also with their service to God. But the truth is that Scripture makes it clear that, regardless of how good you might think your ability to serve God is, God proclaims that your service to Him is both valuable and necessary. So, let’s take a look at what God says about our service to Him through our reading today, in a lesson called “Equipped to be Good and Serve”.

Knowing And Trusting God's Word

Knowing And Trusting God's Word

How do you determine what is cool or not cool? Who do you look to see what is in trend and how to feel about social issues? Do you depend on these same people to help you decide what is morally right? It’s easy to defer to their influence, isn’t it? And yet, who does God say we must look to for wisdom and morality? Is it the wisdom of the world or is it a secret hidden wisdom of God? Let’s take a look as we meditate on God’s word today.
